Big steps for Parable Games

After the Gothic Kickstarter we had some big decisions to make about what our plans for Parable Games & SHIVER were going forward. SHIVER has grown from a homebrew, hand written in notebooks, to a fully fledged game system with an amazing growing and engaged community of players! 

This has led us to the exciting decision to expand our team permanently, our lead writer Charlie is going to live the dream and move to working on SHIVER full time alongside our artist Ben. We want to thank you so much for all your support which has helped us bring SHIVER to life with such success.

Whats does this mean for the future we hear you cry?!

Well for one it means we are going to be able to move faster when it comes to getting the books ready for print and also the speed at which we will be able to create new content for SHIVER. 

Firstly we will be looking to get SHIVER Gothic completed ahead of the schedule we announced on launch. Obviously the state of shipping and manufacture is still a little wobbly but we anticipate we should be able to get books out to you a little quicker as well as earlier delivery on Gothic PDF's.

Secondly, you can expect an increase in the amount of projects we are producing at once. Previously with the team working on SHIVER alongside their normal lives we didn't have the capacity to do more than one project at a time. But now we can! This may mean that at some points we have multiple projects which are awaiting delivery at any given time but will also allow us to shorten the wait between SHIVER fans making a pledge and receiving their rewards!

Alongside this exciting news we also have another incredible announcement. SHIVER has been shortlisted for an award!

We're very excited to announce that SHIVER has been shortlisted for Best RPG at UK Games Expo Awards this year! It's amazing to be in the company of another amazing publisher and to have SHIVER held up to this regard!

For those attending UK Games Expo we will be there with a stand and some big reveals!

Whilst you're here! SHIVER Gothic backers who haven't managed to fill their Backerkit pledge manager out yet please do so. This will help us lock in numbers with suppliers quicker and make the fulfilment process smoother.

Backerkit Surveys Live - Late Pledges Coming Soon

Emails are on their way

We have hit the button to send Backerkit surveys to all our backers, these will go the the email associated with your Kickstarter account. Make sure to complete these to organise your shipping and grab any add ons. We'll be locking orders/addresses later on so we can start distributing PDFs but we'll make some further announcements about that closer to the time!

Late pledges won't be available just yet but will be going live in the next couple of weeks for those who missed out on the Kickstarter. We want to make sure that backers have had a chance to organise their pledges before we open these up to make sure we can give them our full attention during the start of the survey period.

The streets of Spireholm are quiet of late, shutters are closed and doors are locked. Each passageway harbours dark tales and rumours, secrets to be discovered by anyone who dares to ask questions. Disappearances of people and property grow more common by the day, it won't be long before all that is plaguing the city reveals itself and rear its ugly head.
